Hello! My name is Rosemary Delgado, I am a freshman in City College and am currently majoring in Civil Engineering. In honors English 110, we started off with articles by Cathy Park Hong and Kiese Laymon answering about the same topic, the “language of politics.” This statement was confusing at first but became more understandable later on. The “language of politics” has to do with people’s language and culture. Every week we did a reflection/response that had articles based on the language. In this site I’ll be including the major essays that took place in this class: narrative essay, rhetorical analysis assignment, research paper, and the reflective essay.

I enjoyed this class more than I think I would have. I don’t typically like writing or English class in general. Professor Mcmanus made everyone feel included and made sure that we were all proud of our writing, that there wasn’t a wrong or right idea.
